Home Organizing Services in Westchester County

For over 15 years, the women-owned and operated team at DDH (Done & Done Home) has helped Westchester homeowners reclaim their space, from decluttered closets and organized kitchens to full home transformations and move management.

No matter the size of the project or the scale of the mess, our experienced team is ready to help.

Westchester Home Organizing Professionals

Westchester County is home to one of the most diverse housing landscapes in the Northeast. From sprawling estates in Bedford and Purchase (many exceeding 10,000 square feet) to luxury high-rise condominiums in White Plains and New Rochelle, the organizing challenges our team encounters vary widely from neighborhood to neighborhood.

Larger homes tend to accumulate more over time. With multiple floors, oversized storage areas, basements, and attics to manage, clutter can spread without notice. Our team has extensive experience working through large-footprint homes methodically, creating room-by-room systems that make sense for the way you actually live.

In more urban areas of Westchester like White Plains and Yonkers, apartment and condominium living comes with its own set of challenges, limited storage, building restrictions on freight elevator use, and narrow hallways that require careful coordination. Our team has seen it all and knows exactly how to navigate it.

Whichever part of Westchester you call home, DDH brings the same standard of professionalism, discretion, and thoroughness to every project.

Decluttering & Cleanout

We work through your home systematically, room by room, helping you identify what to keep, donate, recycle, or discard. Our team brings the manpower and the method to move efficiently through even the most overwhelming spaces, leaving your home clutter-free and ready for the next step.

Professional Home Organization

Once the clutter is cleared, we design practical systems tailored to the way you actually use your home. From kitchen pantries and bedroom closets to playrooms and home offices, every space is organized for function, efficiency, and long-term ease of maintenance.

Move Management

Moving into or out of a Westchester home? We manage the entire process, from pre-move decluttering and packing to unpacking and full home setup on the other end. You focus on the transition; we handle every logistical detail.

Preparing a Home to List

A well-organized home shows better and sells faster. Our team helps you declutter, depersonalize, and create a clean, welcoming presentation that resonates with buyers, all without the stress of managing it on your own.

Estate Management & Clearouts

Managing an estate cleanout following a loss or major life transition is one of the most emotionally demanding tasks a person can face. Our team approaches every estate project with compassion, full logistical support, and complete discretion — sorting belongings, coordinating appraisers, arranging donations, and preparing the property for its next chapter.

Junk Removal

We coordinate with trusted haulers and removal partners to ensure unwanted items are handled responsibly, whether that means donation, recycling, or disposal. You never need to make a call or arrange a pickup yourself.

We Organize Your Life. You Live It.

About DDH (Done and Done Home)

Meet The Owner

Over 15 years ago, mother-daughter duo Ann Lightfoot and Kate Pawlowski founded DDH (Done and Done Home) after using their natural organizational talents to help a friend with a move. What began as a passion project swiftly grew into a multi-million dollar business, offering expert organization services to those struggling with their cluttered spaces on a daily basis.

Not only have Ann and Kate built a team of professionals that help people all throughout the Tri-State Area organize their homes, they’ve also written a book, Love Your Home Again: Organize Your Space and Uncover the Home of Your Dreams, and created a course, From Chaos to Calm: A Masterclass in Home Organizing, that teach people to love their home again.

What to Expect

The DDH Way

How Our Westchester Home Organizing Process Works

No matter the size or complexity of your project, every DDH engagement follows the same structured five-step approach, designed to deliver the best possible result with the least amount of stress on your end.

Step 01

Consultation

Every project begins with a thorough phone consultation. We'll learn about your space, your goals, and your timeline, and may request photos or videos of your home so we can plan effectively before arriving on-site.

Step 02

Planning

After our initial conversation, our team builds a fully customized project plan, outlining the scope of work, the materials and products needed, and a realistic timeline so you know exactly what to expect before we begin.

Step 03

Decluttering

We start every organizing project by clearing out what's no longer needed. Our team handles all logistics, coordinating donation pickups, connecting you with trusted appraisers for valuable items, and managing the removal and disposal of anything leaving your home.

Step 04

Organization

Once the clutter is cleared, the real work begins. We build organizing systems tailored to your home and your daily routines, systems that are visually clean, genuinely functional, and easy to maintain long after our team has left.

Our Best Practices for Home Organizing in Westchester County

These are the best practices our team follows to create organized homes that feel functional, intentional, and easy to maintain.

Start With How You Live

The best organizing system is one that supports your actual routines. Before we make changes, we learn how you use each space, what tends to become disorganized, and what is or isn’t working today. From busy family kitchens to formal entertaining spaces, every solution is built around your lifestyle.

Declutter Before We Organize

Organization starts with making thoughtful decisions about what belongs in your home. We work through each space systematically, helping you identify what to keep, donate, recycle, or discard before introducing new systems. This ensures you’re organizing the items you truly use and value, not simply finding new places to store clutter.

Create Systems That Fit Your Home

Every Westchester home has its own layout, architecture, and storage challenges. Whether we’re working in a historic Bronxville home, a large Bedford estate, or a White Plains condominium, we create systems that make the best possible use of the space you have. We account for everything from unusual room layouts and limited closets to oversized storage areas and multi-level floor plans.

Prioritize Function Over Appearance

A beautifully organized space should also be easy to use. We place frequently used items within reach, group belongings logically, and make sure every system is intuitive for the people who live in the home. The result is an organization that looks polished while making everyday routines simpler.

Choose Products Thoughtfully

Organizing products should solve a problem, not create more of them. We recommend bins, baskets, drawer inserts, shelving, and other tools only when they improve the function of a space. Product choices are based on your belongings, your home, and the way you intend to maintain the system over time.

    Handle Every Item With Care

From designer collections and fine jewelry to family keepsakes and everyday belongings, we treat everything in your home with discretion and respect. When items are leaving the home, we coordinate donations, appraisals, recycling, and removal so the process is handled responsibly from start to finish.

      Build for Long-Term Maintenance

Our goal is not simply to create a perfectly organized home for one day. We design systems that are realistic to maintain, then walk you through how everything works before we leave. When each item has a clear place and the system matches your routines, staying organized becomes much easier.

        Work With an Experienced Team

A successful home organization project requires more than sorting and putting things away. It requires thoughtful planning, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to make decisions across every room in your home.

Our experienced organizers bring structure, efficiency, and discretion to the process, helping you move through even the most overwhelming spaces with confidence. You can focus on your family, your work, and your daily life while we create a home that feels calmer, more functional, and easier to maintain.
